What does Easter Bank Holiday Weekend mean for you? Longer Days - A Fantastic Sunday Roast - Spring Sunshine - Friends and Family - Relaxation - Getting out in the Garden -Enjoying something sweet?
So you can spend more time enjoying the people and things that you love, here are a few beautifully simple ideas that will make your Easter feel special.
Bunny Ear Napkins - a fun idea to add a little Easter theatre to the table. Unfussy, easy to create and fun for all ages. You will need: one KaHo napkin for each person, hard boiled eggs, pretty ribbons and a pen.

Here's how to create them:

2. Homemade Easter cake... a homemade cake is unlike no other, super special and utterly delicious! Filled with roasted rhubarb and iced with a mascarpone icing - this sponge cake is not too sweet and encapsulates Spring!

Recipe for the Cake:
8oz / 225 g Self Raising Flour
8oz / 225g Butter / Cooking Fat
8oz / 225g Caster Sugar
4 Eggs
1 tsp Baking Powder
Blend all ingredients together in a mixer. Line 2 8" or 20cm cake tins. Split the mixture between the two and bake for 20 minutes at 180 degrees, until golden brown and the middle is firm to touch. Leave to cool and turn out.
Filling and icing:
Roast 3 stems of rhubarb (cut into 5 cm long pieces) with brown sugar and a squeeze of fresh orange in an oven for 15 minutes at 180 degrees. Leave to cool.
Blend 200g of mascarpone, 50g of icing sugar and a tiny amount of the juice from the rhubarb together.
Spread icing between the 2 layers of sponge along with a thin layer of rhubarb. Sandwich the 2 halves together and spread more icing on the top of the cake. Decorate with crushed pistachio nuts and edible flowers.
3. Bring the Outside in... A few branches of blossom, arranged with hanging eggs or ribbons creates a centre piece that is fun and relaxed.

By Easter weekend - we are at the start of peak blossom season... Blackthron, Cherry and Pear trees blossom first. A few foraged stems of blossom look gorgeous combined with vivid tulips, wax flower and hyacinths.

The White Company has some gorgeous white ceramic hanging eggs (pictured in the photo above).
4. A Jar of Mini Eggs - This is guaranteed not to last long as they are totally moreish but they do look gorgeous on an Easter table!

Wishing you all a fun, sunny and Egg-cellent Easter!
